Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate is the stearyl ester of 18-ß-glycyrrhetinic acid. 18-ß-glycyrrhetinic acid is obtained by hydrolysis of glycyrrhizinate extracted from the roots of licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra). The cosmetic industry is using different licorice derivatives because of their skin soothing efficacy.The multi-functionality of this active ingredient makes it very interesting particularly for After Sun- and After Shave Products.
